    The identification and presentation of approaches for strengthening health concerns in noise action planning, green and open space planning and integrated urban district development planning at the municipal level was the focus of the scientific investigations. The special interest was on the professional integration of health concerns as well as on cooperative administrative action with the active involvement of the municipal health offices. The health-relevant thematic interfaces between the plans were also examined. Special attention was paid to the planning consideration of health concerns in urban sub-areas that are subject to multiple burdens with regard to environment, health and social situation. In a document research and analysis, the current state of knowledge was processed and systematised. The main focus was on the legal framework and objectives of the instruments, their potential for taking health concerns into account, the potential for integration between the planning processes, and public participation. In addition, the procedures in the municipal planning processes and existing forms of cooperation between planning administrations were analysed. The role of the health authorities was investigated by evaluating the statements of municipal health authorities, which they had elaborated in the context of the preparation of noise action plans. The research and analysis results were synthesised. The potentials and obstacles of the instruments with regard to issue integration and cooperative planning were presented. These lead to conclusions for the subsequent work steps in the project as well as to the need for further research.
